"Born From Fire" is the sixth song of Indigofera's homonymous debut EP

Indigofera is a band from Niterói/RJ formed in 2004. Succeeding an extinct group called "Hospício Lotado", it has consolidated its definitive line-up in 2005, joining Jopa Travassos (vocals and guitar), Eric Lindgren (keyboards), Guilherme Lopes (bass) and Rafael Marcolino (drums).

The rock that combines Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Prog Rock and a Fusion of other musical styles was clear in the band's first compositions. These can be heard on the EP/DEMO titled "Born From Fire" -- a completely self-produced work, recorded in 2007 by Rodrigo Martinho, in Studio Eclipse in Niterói/RJ and finished in 2009 by Jopa Travassos. The band went for energetic and quite distinguished songs which integrated the mutant atmospheres and, also, the virtuous touch of modern rock music -- both inherited from the several operating musical influences.

Furthermore, we had a very special guest: the phenomenal german violinist Albrecht Breuninger who, with his incredible musicality, added great features to the general context of the album - making it even more special to all of us.

With the ambition of a professionally affirming ourselves, Indigofera struggles in the musical scenery of the new century. We believe in taking the right step at the right time and we're unconditionally grateful to our fans and friends who follow us: thus, we have strength to carry on with our music!
