Description
Ok, here we are on day 5 of the home quarantine and it’s a beautiful day outside so I’m goin to enjoy this weather while it’s here. Today I’m gonna sing you a song that I’ve played for many many years and it’s always a song that I keep gettin’ request to play no matter where I’m playin’. It’s a great song written by one of the greatest songwriters of our time, The Great Hank Williams Sr. Of course when I got ready to record the song many years ago, I wanted to sing part of the song in Cajun French so I got Mr. Happy Fats LeBlanc to come to my home and he gave me the lyrics translated to French. And now you know the rest of the story. My friends, this virus is really gettin’ scary and I’m askin’ all of you to do your part to help stop it from spreadin’. I know lots of you have no choice and you have to get out to work and I’m so appreciative for all of you. But if you don’t have to work, stay at home. When you must go to the store, get what you need and don’t waste time just lookin’ around. Keep your safe distance from everyone in the store and please, don’t buy more than you need of the things’ everyone else needs too. We should all have a much greater respect for everyone who is out there everyday keepin’ this great country runnin’. I don’t think any of us ever realized how important the people are who work at the grocery store, keepin’ things’ we want, on the shelves for us. Please keep them in your prayers, yes, it’s their job but, would you want to be doin’ it? Especially right now. I’ve always respected our truck drivers because I know that everything’ shuts down if they stop drivin’. The doctors and nurses really need and deserve our prayers and support because they are puttin’ their lives on the line everyday and hope they don’t take this terrible virus home to their families. So please just slow down and realize just how lucky you are to have your health. Stay safe and we will all survive this awful time and we will be much stronger as a nation once it’s a thing’ of the past. God Bless all of you!
