Talchum (탈춤)

Talchum is a traditional masquerade. Performers will cover their face or entire head with a mask. Although it was originally a performance of the clowns, it spread throughout the whole country in the late Joseon Dynasty and developed into a culture of the people. These dances mainly satirizes the absurdity of society.
