DJ Vlad spoke to Kurupt about it recently, who told him "even before he gave me that shout I already loved his music."

Kurupt also stated he's just glad someone is giving him the recognition and credit he rightfully deserves. When he first heard "'Till I Collapse," the first thing Kurupt said to the people around him was "I told you so!" "But at the same time, Em is so humble," he added. "That's why you gotta love him, man. 'Cause you know, he doesn't look for a fight - a fight always seems to find him. And the thing is he's gonna always be ready. He's a murderer of emcees."
