Laudate Dominum II

In March of 2013, shortly after Benedict XVI abdicated the See of Peter, I composed two settings of Psalm 116 (the shortest psalm in the psalter), both dedicated to him -- specifically in thanksgiving for his motu proprio Summorum Pontificum, which has borne and continues to bear such good fruits for the Catholic Church.

My fellow composer and friend Mark Nowakowski chose the second setting as a piece to be performed with his "choir" Vos Omnes, consisting of volunteers who individually recorded their parts and submitted them to him for audio production. Kevin Ceigersmidt created the video. My heartfelt thanks to both of them!
