Description
Haz Studio makes drum, guitar, and full band covers of music from anime and games.
Every summer around my birthday's time, I like to make a milestone production that embodies my best ability of production. While I was torn between many possible songs to remake, I attended the wedding of my singer, who's also a huge League fan, where Legends Never Die was playing as she walked down the aisle. I lost my shit and instantly decided this song was the one. In fact, I had already performed it with my previous band. As much as I wanted to remake it into djent/prog which is my favorite genre, I wasn't able to due to constraints. I took this opportunity to remake this song into everything I wanted it to be - heavy but elegant, technical but groovy.
There's no way I could make such an ambition come true just by myself. So, I had the honor to join force with some huge talents locally while I was in Shenzhen. Jassimira contributed some killer vocals that include belting, growling, and opera singing (what versatility). Yun whipped up some rich and extremely musical keyboard parts in her first attempt. Ayaan, my partner in crime of djent, riff'ed and solo'ed so hard that brought my drums and bass parts to life. Most excitingly, I had the pleasure to feature the extremely talented guitarist Nova to create an unworldy solo part.
During the day of video shooting, there was a huge typhoon and red alert in Shenzhen, but everyone risked their safetly and came together anyways to shoot an extra epic music video even with just a few pieces of equipment. By chance, I had run across a special exhibition of "one take" in the Museum of Cinematography in Frankfurt, so I decided to try it out myself with the first minute of the video. It wasn't flawless but quite cool still.
I would say this project might just be Haz Studio's best. I hope you enjoy it too.
