This is a snippet from our upcoming virtual show, premiering May 7th! The ENTIRE 3-hour Edgefield performance will be streaming as a virtual concert May 7-9. Excerpted from Pink Martini's live concert at Edgefield in Portland, "Let's Be Friends" is the first of two new original songs that were released as digital singles in 2020, while the band was on hiatus during the pandemic. An ode to the joy of platonic friendship, the song was written by Pink Martini bandleader Thomas M. Lauderdale, lead vocalist China Forbes, and producer Jim Bianco. Filmed on a rainy day in September 2021, soon after the band started touring again after a long hiatus during quarantine, this video is excerpted from an epic 3-hour concert that will be broadcast starting May 7, for Mother's Day weekend, on ourconcerts.live.
