She had a mastectomy in 1991 and recently complained to her surgeon " it's been 21 years and the goddamn thing hasn't grown back yet!". Uncle Ruthie does a weekly radio show of stories, songs, poetry and live guests for all ages on KPFK 90.7 fm in Los Angeles. She is an award winning singer/songwriter, poet and is the music teacher at the Blind Chidren's Center in Los Angeles. This song is available on her adult c.d.
