On Friday, April 13th the DWNTWN Miami Concert Series celebrated the last show in Bayfront Park for the season with Latin Grammy Winnners Los Amigos Invisibles!!
Los Amigos Invisibles brought their blend of disco, acid jazz and funk mixed with Latin rhythms.
In their 20 year career they have performed in over 60 countries, won a Latin Grammy, received 2 Latin Grammy Nominations and 3 Grammy Nominations, recorded 7 studio albums, 1 live DVD, 2 live CDs and most recently starred in the documentary: La Casa del Ritmo, A Film About Los Amigos Invisibles, which premiered at this year's Miami International Film Festival.
Miami favorite Elastic Bond opened the show, bringing their tropical sound with an urban edge. Pleasantly surprising velvety vocals combined with unexpectedly awesome and evocative bilingual rap is reminiscent of Lauren Hill meets the Roots meets Yerba Buena.
