Louis Thomas Jordan (1908 – 1975) was a American musician, songwriter, singer and bandleader topping R&B charts from the early 1940s to the early 1950s. Jordan was called “The King of the Jukebox” and was highly popular with both black and white audiences in the late Swing Era time period.
