Joe Young (1889-1939)was an American lyricist, born in New York as Joseph Judewitz to immigrant Jewish parents.
Bernice Petkere (1901-2000) was an American songwriter. She was dubbed the "Queen of Tin Pan Alley" by Irving Berlin.
"Lullaby of the Leaves" is a Tin Pan Alley song first performed in 1932. The jazz standard is considered the biggest critical and commercial success of Petkere's composing career.
