This was the debut album we created as Lunatic Calm but was a *long* time in the making. Quick story.

Howie and I had first met at school, aged 8, where we shared a love of music. In our early teens, we formed a spurious heavy metal cover band and rocked out in front of a school assembly-sized crowd. A friend of ours blew his hand up at our first show when he stuck a cigarette butt in a homemade pyro we'd made. Those were the pre-health-and-safety days, kids.

At college, I was in a band with a certain Thom Yorke called Headless Chickens and after Howie had finished his studies in Manchester he came south to join me in Exeter for 18 months where we formed 'Flicker Noise'. The plan was an audacious genre-agnostic takeover of the entire music business, merging our love of Primal Scream, Young Gods, Metallica, Hardfloor, NIN, Depth Charge, Angelo Badalamenti and many more.

Fast-forward six years and countless musical experiments later ... and you have 'Metropol', the first of our two full-length albums.
