Marel Hidalgo is a 16-year-old guitarist from New Jersey who began performing at just four years old. By age six, he had formed his first band, exploring a wide range of styles including blues, reggae, Latin jazz, funk, bluegrass, and more. He has performed at notable venues such as the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Denver’s Day of Rock, the Brooklyn Conservatory, Exit Zero Jazz Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and internationally in France and Costa Rica. Influenced by guitar legends like Joe Pass, Pat Martino, Ernest Ranglin, Tal Farlow, and Charlie Christian, Marel is known for his versatility, technical skill, and mature musicality well beyond his years.
