ABOUT IT:
Though the family is finally reunited, the peace is fleeting. As the community begins to recover, they turn against the wife, angry and resentful of the choices she made to save her family. They accuse her of selfishness, of condemning others for the sake of her loved ones. In a moment of desperation, the wife confesses the truth—she didn’t use more doses on her family; she gave them her own. She sacrificed her future for him and their son, knowing that her decision would someday have consequences for her.
