And silently lights the stars,

And tired Minsk sleeps peacefully, -
Only the veteran,
The partisan of the past war, cannot sleep:
The night has stirred up his wounds,
And the memory of the heart speaks...

And again the boys go into the darkness,
And again the ambush is silent in the night...
But in the silence the machine guns fire,
And a hot battle begins to boil!

And again the sky blazes,
And someone shoots furiously,
And throws you onto the grass,
And the stars circle with you.

And the night retreats to the west,
And even the song falls silent,
