SONG DESCRIPTION:
Swinging a twelve pound hammer down on a steel drill, the mighty John Henry drilled deep holes into solid rock in the building of railway tunnels. These holes were then filled with dynamite. When a new steam drill threatened him and fellow workers with the loss of jobs, he met the challenge with brawn and unbeatable courage.
