Hello there!
What does it mean to have Faith? Some people practice a religion, some spiritualism, others value science in a similar fashion. In the end I can only speak for myself really. I look at all these things and ways of life. Whatever they are. Whatever it is that gives people faith. To me it all leads to the same.
An anchor. A form of safety. Something that keeps us going.
It certainly is the case for me. So what do I have faith in. Why name a Lightsaber after it?
Well it binds all of my beliefs together. My faith in the force. My faith in myself. My faith in community.
I do actually believe in the force. in my very own way. A unique look at a very common look at the world, presented in a movie.
One of my mantras actually is "I'm one with the force and the force is with me!"
I always come back to my favorite quote. Where Obi Wan Kenobi first described the force to Luke Skywalker, but also to every living person that watched Star Wars before the prequels saw the light of day.
"The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together."
To me, in my very own faith, my own path in the light side of the force. A path not actually compatible with the Jedi code, it is love and compassion.
As both can be seen throughout our own society, but also in the behavior shown by so many different animals, that I do give those emotions a universality.
But faith also resides in me by itself. In myself. We all have a past. We all had struggles to face. More for some than for others. I don't really know, or even wanna compare, my hardships to those of others.
But each mountain I had to climb, each obstacle I had to overcome, taught me something. A lesson in what I had achieved and especially what I failed at. "A great teacher failure is" Yoda said. And I have faith in that approach.
Because if you refuse to see your own missteps, and acknowledge them for what they are, you're bound to repeat them.
I still make mistakes. But I do have enough faith in myself to not get crushed by my own failure again.
I often did choose the easy way out. The path of the dark side. Where I let my actions be tainted by anger, fear and sometimes even hate.
Let them guide my decisions. Never to a positive outcome. It might seem like it gives you strength. But it never was a lasting feeling to me. A short rush of superiority that never felt good. Quite the opposite actually.
I still have faith in those emotions too however. As they are still a natural part of our consciousness. All of our emotions can be put to a good use. Emotions just are. They aren't good or bad by themself. It's the action that gives it a moral context. Something one can actually pass judgement on.
But more on that in the next video. That's gonna be a wonderful, colorful and passionate comeback of a name that is already well represented on this channel.
So what's left to say. My faith in community is also a vital part of me. Even though I am not really one of the most social people nowadays.
What the DnB community has given me, done for me and shared with me is something I will always cherish and look back at with nothing but love, passion and especially gratitude. These people are the main reason I actually use social media from time to time. I'm pretty much over that whole thing.
I learned my lessons there and know who I am. Found so much faith in me through other people, that I do love to spread some love from time to time over there. And I am also willing to admit that I did misuse that medium for a time. Tried to make it all something I never really truly was.
But hey like I said. It's about seeing mistakes and learning from them.
And what I learned that I just love everything about my channel here. Because It's all just me.
And became so much more.
So huge thanks to all of you regular viewers, for making this a little community. To me it really feels like it.
So thank you so so so so much, for the time you spend here!
Huge shout out to Metrik too, who just keeps on putting out banger after banger. This one absolutely not being an exception.
Big big ups for an outstanding career and giving so many people so many wonderful memories connected to so many amazing tunes!
Hope you enjoyed watching!
Stay safe. Be kind.
And may the force be with you!
