A song remembering Fausto Atti, one of the original founders of the Left faction of the Italian Communist Party in 1929 who was killed by the PCI in 1945. In 1943 he proposed the formation of a centre of resistence against both the Comitee for National Liberation (CLN, centered in the south) and the Salò Republic (Fascist Italy), but never managed to.
