On his new album – and first on Stones Throw – Music Will Explain (Choir Music Vol. 1), Mocky attempts to capture the essence of humanity in an increasingly digital and artificial world. Centered around the human voice, Music Will Explain is the result of Mocky’s obsessive quest to capture the “sound of humans”. It’s a piece of art that only human beings could create together, a deliberate mixture of vocal harmonies, live instrumentation, and analog recording, united by Mocky’s distinctive songwriting.
