The lyrics describe a girl from the Malan area of Taitung who fell in love with a man. Her parents disapprove of their marriage. She sings about wishing her parents to agree to their marriage, otherwise, she will lie on the train rail and be cut into three pieces.

The pursuit of love and marriage portrays the matrilineal kinship in Amis society.
