Description

Monster Florence are truly something different: a six-piece alternative hip-hop act; a collective of rappers and musicians making a hybrid of hip-hop and punk with an influence of UK grime and shades of psych-rock guitar.

Their unique sound has gained them fans in the UK, the USA and Australia and seen their singles fly into the top 5 of the iTunes Hip-Hop charts. They released their debut album, Foul, in 2018 which they recorded over a period of two years. Championed by the likes of broadcaster Huw Stephens, they headlined for BBC Introducing at Glastonbury in 2019.

The Colchester six-piece came down to the Selector Radio studio to lay down two tracks - ‘Peepin’ and ‘Scum’ - and chat about how they got started.
