Mors Principium Est, have released a video for the new song “Summoning The Dark”, the new single off their upcoming album titled Darkness Invisible, out September 26 through Peerception – a Division of Reigning Phoenix Music.

Jori Haukio (guitars, programming) stated “We’re returning with a haunting new visual for our new single ‘Summoning The Dark.’ Directed by JP Kaukonen and shot deep within the mystic and ancient woodlands of Finland, the video blends modern high-end production with a subtle fantasy-horror narrative. A dark, immersive journey to a summoning beyond the point of no return.” –

Recorded at Ansa Studio in Finland and mixed/mastered by Jens Bogren and Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden, the Darkness Invisible record blends razor-sharp riffing, sweeping orchestration, and Ville Viljanen’s unmistakable vocals with a more cinematic and emotionally dynamic sound.

Despite delivering MPE’s much-loved trademark elements, Darkness Invisible is not content to simply revisit old formulas, but it expands upon them: the arrangements are more cinematic than ever, layered with subtle electronic textures, ambient passages, and dynamic shifts that mirror the emotional weight carried within the lyrics – and the result is a work that feels both cathartic and devastating.
