Here is King Radio & The Mighty Destroyer with two classic Calypsos about a Mother's love. "Children Be Warned" by King Radio & "A Mother's Love" by Destroyer were written and recorded some time during the late 1930's.
Lion said the he witnessed women cry when these songs were performed at the tent. The 1930's was the decade of the Great Depression which culminated with WW2.
It was also the decade of Trade Unionist Tuber U. Butler and the labour movement supported by the bear footed man. Poverty and human suffering was rampant in Trinidad, mothers could not have had it easy. These Calypsos testify to their love & devotion that both King Radio & Destroyer witnessed. during these turbulent and trying times.
