Today marks the 247th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence at the Continental Congress in Philadelphia when thirteen fledgling U.S. colonies unanimously voted in favor of freedom from Great Britain. Since then, the United States has been the example of freedom and liberty for all nations.
