Gunslinger is out today. It’s the first song off of my new album “My Home Is Not In This World”.
I wrote this song in a dusty studio in Brooklyn with Elliot, and the greatest living rhythm section on the planet; Nick Movshon & Homer Steinweiss.
It’s a nod to some of my early favorites — Bo Diddley the Gunslinger meets an abstract Western doo-wop-shoo-wop girl group. It’s a story of unrequited love. Falling for a guitar-slingin’ wanderer who was never quite attainable to begin with.

Ian Svenonius (Escape-ism) is our perfect lead. He is a legend. An incredible musician, writer and performer. A true honor to work with him. I asked my friend Seven to make our mini dresses 3 days before the shoot. Boy did he deliver! Jon Lieckfelt and I went wig shopping for these perfect domes of hair. He is a genius. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Sandi Denton on another film prior to this one. She is an outstanding artist and choreographer. A cut above the rest. Directed by my beautiful husband, Andreas, starring my favorite people in this world. Here it is now! LISTEN LOUDLY!
