On August 9, 2025, Nickelback brought the house down at the Laketown Amphitheatre in Youbou, BC, Canada in what became a history making night on Vancouver Island. Please know this is far from my best work. It was dark, I was far away, balancing a stubborn lawn chair that kept tipping forward, and filming entirely handheld. Some of the footage is downright terrible, and I really do not know why, but this was never meant to be a polished production. I filmed it for my own library and memories, but was encouraged to share it in its raw, imperfect form. Cindy Petrie made me to it!

I cannot monetize this video, nor would I want to as I respect and appreciate copyright. If I could, I would donate all proceeds to a worthwhile local charity that makes a difference. While I cannot do that here, for all my monetizable videos I donate 10% of my YouTube AdSense revenue to charity.

Before we begin, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge that this performance took place on the unceded traditional territories of the Ditidaht First Nation, the Ts’uubaa-asatx First Nation, and the Cowichan Tribes. I am grateful for their enduring care and stewardship of this land.

This was the largest outdoor concert Vancouver Island has ever hosted, with 15,000 fans filling an absolutely incredible venue, and I cannot wait for the next one.
