The Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago have long been a hotbed of creativity and collaboration, with heavy musical roots spanning from traditional Calypso, Kaiso, and Soca to Reggae and Dancehall music and more. In the last few years, a new generation of producers, artists, and DJs has emerged, influenced not only by the music of their homeland, but also by popular music from around the globe. Due in part to advances in technology that allow for easy access to trending music around the world, this new generation has created its own unique and worldly sound.
System32, a team of highly-skilled, Trinidadian born-and-raised producers, artists, and DJs consisting of Simon “The System” Sanowar, Kevin “1KB” Beharry, and Mical “Teja” Williams, is one of the groups at the helm of the new sound burgeoning out of “TnT”. Merging Soca, Reggae, Dancehall, and Hip Hop with various styles of Electronic Dance Music and Pop including Trap, House, and Tropical, System32’s genre-bending sounds have consistently permeated local airwaves since the group’s formation in late 2014.
Beharry and Sanowar, who attended school with one another throughout childhood and their teenage years, reconnected while taking audio engineering classes. They soon met Williams, a highly talented vocalist, writer and musician who had just returned from a world tour, where he spent much time in South Africa and the United Kingdom. Williams, who began his musical career singing choir at age 8, met Sanowar and Beharry on the local music scene and the trio wasted no time in creating a series of high-profile remixes, bootlegs, DJ mixes, and original productions. All three members being self-proclaimed “techies”, they soon adapted the name System32 - an ode to the integral folder needed to support the Windows operating system that each of the members learned to produce music on.
Perhaps first grabbing the attention of the local audience by remixing a controversial parliamentary argument between two of the country’s most prominent politicians on their track “Cowards”, System32 has since performed at and provided mixes for Trinidad’s biggest Dance Music events, such as Life In Color and Sunset Festival, where they’ve shared the spotlight with international acts such as Diplo, Skrillex, Steve Aoki, David Solano, and more.
Recording and collaborating over the past two years with regional household names including Machel Montano, 5 Star Akil, K. Rich, Shurwayne Winchester, and Olatunji, System32 is poised to continue to be at the forefront of Trinidadian acts set to hit the world stage. Their production of the post-Carnival 2016 anthem - Olatunji’s “One Life To Live” (OL2L), is a perfect example of their fast-paced Caribbean Dance Music sound.
Determined to bring fellow up-and-coming Trini artists along on their journey, System32 is set to release a steady stream of music in 2016 and 2017. Their next release, “Man For the Day (M4TD)”, featuring Trinidadian Hip Hop artists Rochelle Chedz and Jay Nahge, is due to drop in July 2016 on Jillionaire of the chart-topping group Major Lazer’s label Feel Up Records. Additional 2016 releases from System32 will include features from Trinidad’s Michael Allan, Jimmy October, Arielle Cowie, Mr. Killer, and Jamaican Dancehall star Konshens.

In a global Pop music environment recently dominated by Caribbean-influenced artists and tracks such as Major Lazer, Felix Jaen’s remix of Omi’s “Cheerleader”, and the numerous works of Drake, Popcaan, DJ Snake, and Aluna George, System32 is poised to crossover and take the world by storm.
