Description
Here is 'Miyazu Bushi', a Japanese folk dance from Kyoto Prefecture that you can learn during our workshops.
Although much of the song's history remains uncertain, it is believed to have been performed by geishas and maikos to entertain merchants and sailors as early as in the mid-Edo period (end of the 17th century).
Nowadays, it is mostly being danced by the common people of Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture, during the summer festival season.
