Description
This is the organ sound I grew up with — and today it’s playing my cousin’s wedding piece.
Built in the 1980s by my parents together with @orgelbau_stehle and Orgelbau Grüble, this chamber organ was assembled from salvaged cathedral pipes — rescued from attics, barns, and even a chicken coop. It’s intimate, expressive, and just perfect for showing off The Less Famous Wedding March — the piece I wrote for my cousin’s big day.
It wasn’t performed here at the wedding (this organ is a bit too… stationary 😄), but I couldn’t resist playing it again where I learned to love the sound of the pipes. From Gedackt 8′ warmth to Sesquialtera sparkle — and yes, double tremulant for extra romance — every detail makes it fun to play.
Manual I: Gedackt 8′, Salicional 8′, Gemshorn 4′, Waldflöte 2′, Sesquialtera.
Manual II (in swell): Metallgedackt 8′, Rohrflöte 4′, Cromorne 8′.
Pedal: Subbass 16′, Gedackt 8′, Choralbass 4′.
Two tremulants, flexible couplers — and a wedding march that doesn’t take itself too seriously. #shorts
