Curry Chatti Beats ep.1 ft. Hanumankind
Curry Chatti Beats is a collaborative project curated as a series, featuring multiple artists and beats that I sampled out of old Indian movie clips. The idea is to have fun while grooving to the nostalgia of vintage aesthetics. This was shot and recorded in our living space, where OMR and Coke came together.
Episode one is sampled out of “Nazhikakkallu”.
Nazhikakkallu is a 1970 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Sudin Menon and produced by Vasudevan Nair. The film stars Prem Nazir, Sheela, Ramachandran and Sankaradi in the lead roles and features musical score by Kanu Ghosh.
