Northern Irish guitarist Gary Moore recorded ‘Parisian Walkways’ on the 1978 album ‘Back on the Streets’. He got his former Thin Lizzy bandmate Phil Lynott to cowrite it and play bass. .
The composition is based on the instrumental jazz standard ‘Blue Bossa’, recorded by Kenny Dorham in 1963.
‘Parisian Walkways’ became Moore’s signature song. He died in 2011.
