"Everything started in a casual meeting with an old friend, Tito, nowadays working for Movie Play, when on invitation to cut a CD for his company was made, and accepted at once. From there, my guitar and I started the task of creation of this first one (for me) compact disc.
Passing through Tom Jobim, Ernesto Nazareth, Milton Nascimento and others, up to something more sophisticated as American hits, Piazzola, Bach and Villa-Lobos, I have tried to include all sorts of music that I have always enjoyed playing.
At some tracks like ODEON, CHORO Nº 1, OLHA MARIA and CONCERTO POUR UNE VOX, I have made arrangements for two, sometimes three guitars, chiefly in CONCERT FOR ARANJUEZ, where because of a dared suggestion of the producer, I have made on adaptation for Bossa Nova, and it seems that it was worth to try..."

"PAULO ARTHUR MENDES PUPO NOGUEIRA, Born in Campinas, São Paulo state, recorded for the first time in 1960, and is considered as one of the Bossa Nova pioneers. In 1964 he started his career of guitar teacher, and in the following year was hired as a permanent guest of the TV Record show O Fino da Bossa (The Best of Bossa Nova), hosted by the famous singer Elis Regina, where he remained up to 1967, in 1968 it was published a Harmony Method For Guitar written by himself that become a best-seller throughout the country, presently at the 19th edition. The song MENINA, written by himself and recorded in 1970, made him popular and famous, remaining through the year on top of the charts.
Best musician of 1969 and two PINHEIRO DE OURO (GOLDEN PINE TREE), in 1964 and 1965, are some of the rewards that make him proud of. Having already recorded 23 albums, he participated in 1991, in Italy, of the International Guitar Festival, that took place at Teatro Delle Palme, in Napoles.
