Track 8 from their sixth, known as the "COW" album released in 1976 copyright Epic Records. It was the last studio album for bassist Gregg Philbin RIP, and featured the return of Kevin Cronin on lead vocals & rhythm guitar after he and Gary Richrath buried the hatchet to focus on creating more great music. On several previous releases, Gary Richrath had sung lead vocals on one track per album but for this one he was the lead or co-lead vocalist on half the songs. This was the turning point for them, with greatness lying ahead. It received average reviews and reached No. 159 on the Billboard chart. Recorded from the original vinyl. Written by Gary Richrath & Kevin Cronin and produced by John Stronach. RIP Gary Richrath & Gregg Philbin. Featuring:
Kevin Cronin - Lead vocals, rhythm guitars & background vocals
Gary Richrath - Lead vocals, lead & rhythm guitars & background vocals
Neal Doughty - Keyboards
Gregg "Regis" Philbin - Bass & background vocals
Alan Gratzer - Drums & background vocals
Another day in the city, another dancer to the music
But lately all the music sounds so strange
Well, some songs have no meaning and some songs try too hard
Tryin’ to say it all and end up sayin' nothin’
Well, maybe the words ring true
Well, what's right for them may be wrong for you
So come outta the jungle of another man's dreams
And if you come to a clearin' as lonely as it seems
It's never too late to break away (to break away)
Another day lost in livin’ and you know but the same old beginnin'
And you know it well, oh, why we went wrong
(Someone says I've changed and someone says that)
(I have remained in the same place for maybe just a little too long)
(Well, maybe the words ring true)
(But what's right for them may be wrong for you)
(So come outta the jungle of another man's dreams)
(And if you come to a clearin' as lonely as it seems)
It's never too late to break away
(It’s never too late to break away)
(Well, maybe the words ring true)
(But what's right for them may be wrong for you)
(So come out of the jungle of another man's dreams)
(And if you come to a clearin' as lonely as it seems)
It's never too late to break away, oh, no
(It’s never too late to break away)
(To break away, to break away)
(To break away)
