Honestly I am not sure what causes second phase for him to drop on the ground consistently, but it would definitely help speed up the fight. Will have to mess around with it...
First Phase is always 100% consistent. If weapon(s) are not upgrades as mine here, it will just require more cycles (or dodging if knife durability is not upgraded).
You will always know the first unblockable cycle in phase one when above when he says "Judgement". Cancel him doing that by going below, and going back up the ladder.
