Wind band ensembles have traditionally utilized a very treble-heavy ensemble with many Bb clarinets, trumpets, and flutes. One of the advantages of virtual recordings is being able to set a balanced instrumentation where each instrument section functions as a perfectly balanced choir. Lower woodwind, double-reed, and horn parts are well-covered.
