Description
Róisín Dubh (Gregorian Reimagining)
This is not the Róisín Dubh you might expect.
I wanted to explore what it would sound like if the ancient soul of Ireland met the sacred stillness of Gregorian chant. This piece reimagines the traditional Irish lament as a spiritual journey — where the “Dark Rose” becomes a symbol of exile, longing, and ultimately… return.
We blended Celtic melody with monastic harmony, ancient Latin prayer, and the haunting quiet of stone-walled abbeys. The monks stand around the rose — broken yet blooming — as if remembering what was lost and honoring what still endures.
This one is close to my heart. If it speaks to you, I’d love to hear what part moved you most. Please leave a comment, like the video, and consider subscribing if you want more sacred and cinematic reimaginings.
"Domine, miserere mei..." — Lord, have mercy on me.
