Description

1 Hear, O God, my voice in my prayer; preserve my life from the fear of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked, and from the tumult of the workers of iniquity.
3 They sharpen their tongues like swords; and bent their arrows with bitter words,
4 To shoot in secret at the upright; they shoot at him suddenly, and are not afraid.
5 They stand firm in evil devices; they speak of laying snares in secret, and say, "Who will see them?"
6 They investigate mischief, they search out everything that can be searched out; and both their inmost thoughts and their hearts are deep.
7 But God will shoot an arrow at them, and suddenly they will be wounded.
8 So they will make their tongues stumble against themselves; all who see them will flee. 9 And all men will fear, and will declare the work of God, and will prudently consider his acts.
10 The righteous will rejoice in the Lord, and will trust in him; and all the upright in heart will glory.
