We’re kicking off the week with A este sol peregrino by Tomás de Torrejón y Velasco—an 18th-century gem from Peru that lit up our summer stage last season!
This radiant villancico, often performed for the Feast of Saint Peter, draws a powerful connection to Inca reverence for the sun god Inti, centering its message on the sun and its divine light.
Our chamber choir is joined by incredible collaborators on strings, percussion, and organ in this vibrant performance from one of last year’s Summer Festival programs, Songs of the Americas.
