Description

This is one of the Cantigas de Santa Maria, a collection of 13th century songs compiled, and some say composed, by King Alphonse X, El Sabio. This is thought to be one that he wrote himself, as the lyric states "Santa Maria, come to the aid of your troubador" and then goes on to reference himself as king. This is an impromptu video recorded on Mar 22, 2020, after technical difficulties cut short our livestreamed concert. It is only the first and last verse of the piece.
