Here's where it all started - Scott Joplin's first published rag. Joplin had released a couple of marches and a waltz before dropping this charmer. He had already composed Maple Leaf Rag two years before and it had been turned down for publication at least twice. It would follow in 1899, and Joplin would be crowned the "King of Ragtime Composers."
