Description
During morning service, the Song of the Sea (Exodus 15:1-18) is read before the Blessings of the Shema. In the Sephardi tradition, on special days -notably Shabbat, Holidays, and Rosh Hodesh - the Song of the Sea is sung. This recording reflects the Western Sephardi tradition (better known as Spanish and Portuguese), even though even congregations who follow this tradition, there are slight melodic differences.
