So Hyang - Arirang Alone (홀로 아리랑)

After jamming out to Golden, I wanted to try a Korean song: Arirang Alone (홀로 아리랑). Korean was a wild ride of trying to understand soft vs hard “K” sounds, the difference between “K” and “G,” and how “B” sounds kinda have some “P” vibes… plus I learned there’s no “F” sound in the Korean language!

This is a beautiful song, and after learning just a little slice of it, I have even more appreciation for So Hyang and her gorgeous tone, register changes and attention to detail. (This song is bananas, vocally! 🎤 🍌)

As always, thank you for your grace as I explore. I learn so, so much from these deep dives.
