Recorded by Greenwood somewhere in the '80s this song was written and originally recorded in Japan by Tatsuro Yamashita. Greenwood bandleader and bass player Robin Kimura took the literal meaning of this song and translated it into english. Sparkle features Curtis Takahama on lead vocals and Randy Hoo on the saxophone solo. This was side A of the 45 rpm produced by Robin Kimura which included Cheerleader Strut was side B. Sparkle, the English version originally recorded in the 80s enjoyed new life in 2010 as the 45 rpm resurfaced in Japan and for a very short period and hit number 1 on the Japan disc jockeys vinyl 45 rpm charts.
