Pop number first recorded by the U.S. based vocalist, ‘Laura Nyro’ in 1966.

Barbra’s well produced 1970 rendition gained some pop radio exposure in in Australia but only charted in two mainland cities (Brisbane and Melbourne), eventually reaching the #59 spot on the Go-Set pop newspaper’s then national top 60 (published on 27 March 1971).

A later analysis of record retail sales by the ‘Kent Music Report’ (the forerunner of today’s ‘ARIA Charts’), confirmed the single’s correct peak national position was #66, achieved during a chart run of 11 weeks.
