Lee Michaels had a great talent but a short lived musical period. He has to be deaf now. I remember being early to one of his performances. He was getting the sound right (as far as he was concerned). His playing the Hammond organ was almost always ear-splitting. That day, as he played it ahead of the concert, it was louder than most jets; but he asked the audio engineers to make it louder. In 1988 he started a family owned restaurant in Marina del Rey called Killer Shrimp. He has expanded since with three other restaurants.
