Description
This track was from the Southern Library of Recorded Music and was yet again pressed on 78 on MQ 507. Fun Fact: They also made 45 RPM records for their US branch, but the 45 catalog seems to be incomplete. It stops at probably the MQ 700's. The difference with these and the 78s, besides the format is the fact that the 45s have the catalog number MQ 45-(number goes here). The 45 is the pretty much the same as the 78, only it's on MQ 45-507. Stuart Bruce is a collaborative alias for Stuart Crombie and Bruce Campbell (the composer). I've talked about Stuart Crombie before, but I hadn't talked about Bruce Campbell yet. He was a Canadian composer who moved to Britain in the 1930's. He worked extensively with Robert Farnon. He was in a few music libraries, most notably, Conroy and Impress. Some of the tracks he made were things like "Poppin' Around" from Conroy, and "Tit For Tat", "Apples And Pears", "Hunt The Thimble" and "Curlycues" from Impress.
