Description
This song tells of the plight of many an Irish peasant , forced into petty crime for the survival of body & soul by their oppressors, only to find that the punishment for such crime far, far outways the crime itself.
There are many versions of this song, this version being quite popular at Irish folk sessions here in Ireland.
This was recorded on St. Patrick's Day, 2021, when the country was still under sever lockdown due to Covid 19.
