The album "We’re Not Going Back" describes a spiritual pilgrimage from bondage and confusion to liberty and empowerment through the atoning power of Christ’s sacrifice. “The Horse & The Rider,” dramatizes the ecstatic victory dance that celebrated God’s saving power in Exodus chapter 15. This capstone to the entire album pulls out all the stops, surrounding the the listener, with an orchestral profusion including expert jig-like playing by the violin section, punctuated by powerful blasts of trumpets, French horns, and trombones. The pilgrimage concludes as horses and chariots eventually join in the operatic scene, along with joyful pipes, flutes, and clarinets, until the horses and their riders are swallowed up in waves of victory – a victory from which “We’re Not Going Back.”
