Description
One of quite a handful of singles released during this dance craze's heyday, "The Jerk" was the most successful single released by Don Julian (though credited as The Larks on Money single 106). This would go on to peak at number 7 on the Billboard Hot R&B Singles chart upon release.
The Larks had been previously known as The Meadowlarks, yielding the hit single "Heaven And Paradise" a decade earlier (in 1954), this one gained popularity with R&B fans at that time.
Julian died on November 6, 1998 from pneumonia at the age of 61.
