This is the regimental march of the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment (2e REP) of the French Foreign Legion. The tune is taken from the marching song of the French 33rd Waffen-SS Grenadier division, "Le Chant du Diable" (the devil's Song) The Foreign Legion adopted it with slightly different lyrics in the late 1940s. Soldiers have kept this song in their hearts from the flaming hell of Berlin to the jungles of Indochina, and later the sands of Algeria fighting Godless communism.
